5 Verses on Contentment

Jesus Christ offers a lasting satisfaction and contentment that nothing else can offer in this world.

Our circumstances will always change. The world will change, the seasons will change, and we will change too. It all is shifting sand. But Christ is a firm foundation. Here are five verses to help us seek for contentment in the right place.

1. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” – Matthew 5:6

2. “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’” – Hebrews 13:5

3. “But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we have brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world.” – 1 Timothy 6:6-7

4. “For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” – 1 Corinthians 12:10

5. “Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.” – Philippians 4:11-12
